The Red/Green forum is a series of meetings with the aim of like minded left-wing and environmentally conscious together.
Eco-socialism is the belief that the destruction of the environment and catastrophic climate change is inextricably linked to globalisation and capitalism. Likewise many of the worlds poorest are suffering the effects of climate change, despite having done little to contribute towards it; while the rich western countries are able to shield themselves from the worst of climate change.
The Red Green forums are organised by Jon Duveen who is a member of Socialist Resistance and a member of the NUT; and James Youd of the Green Party and Green Left.
The meetings are held with a variety of speakers from around the world, speaking about those pressing issues of the day, but also those who are fighting to live in a more sustainable way, away from the destruction of capitalism.
